PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING
We collect and use your personal information to comply with our legal obligations under Sections 135A, 135B and 141C(1)(b), of the Education Act 2002 and associated Education (Induction Arrangements for School Teachers) (England) Regulations 2012.
RECIPIENTS OF DATA
We will share personal information with law enforcement or other authorities if required by applicable law, as well as:
the school or schools you are employed by during your induction
Sunderland City Council
the TRA.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS INCLUDING SAFEGUARDS
We do not transfer personal information internationally
RETENTION PERIOD OR CRITERIA
We will hold your personal information securely for 10 years, after which the information is archived or securely destroyed.
RIGHT TO REQUEST RECTIFICATION/PORTABILITY/OBJECTION
Your Information Rights are set out in data protection law. you have the right to ask to:
• have inaccuracies corrected;
• have your personal data erased;
• place a restriction on our processing of your data;
• object to processing; and
• request your data to be ported (data portability).
Subject to some legal exceptions, we will comply with your request.

You also have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
RIGHT TO WITHDRAW CONSENT
Where we process data based on your consent you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. You can do this by contacting the service direct or through the Data Protection Office

CONSEQUENCE OF FAILURE TO SUPPLY DATA
We use your personal information to:
• manage your NQT induction
• ensure that the TRA is kept informed of your progress
• keep you informed of any concerns raised
• assist you with enquiries
• notify you of training opportunities (where you have consented to this)
• If you do not supply data we will be unable to support the above.
